BIG TRIP!!!

This years Big Trip will be to Space Camp in Huntsville, AL.

Friday, March 7th PM – Arrival to Huntsville and optional movie night at the Hilton Garden Inn. You do NOT have to be staying at this hotel in order to attend the movie.
Saturday, March 8th, 10am – 4pm Central Time – U.S. Space & Rocket Center “Ultimate Field Trip” including an interactive lab experience, planetarium, moon shot ride, and more. You can find more details here: https://www.rocketcenter.com/MuseumGroup/Visits
Saturday, March 8th, TimeTBD – possibly an informal gathering at Main Event for those who wish to participate
Sunday, March 9th, 10am Central Time – 90 min tour of Cathedral Caverns followed by gem mining. You can find more details here: https://www.alapark.com/parks/cathedral-caverns-state-park

Huntsville, AL is on Central Time which is 1 hour behind us. It would be feasible to only join for the day at the Space Center on Saturday if you wish to do so. You would need to ensure arrival prior to 10 am CST time for the start of the tour.

HOTELS
We have room blocks at two hotels and I encourage everyone who is even considering going on the trip to reserve a room now. There is NO payment required to book and you can cancel without penalty up to 24 hours prior to the stay. Many groups travel to this area and spring is a popular time.

Rate – $129 / night
Rate does NOT include any meals. They do have an on-site restaurant that is open for breakfast and dinner for an additional charge. The hotel is located 1.3 miles from the Space Center. On Friday night the pack will show a movie in a conference room at this hotel (anyone may join, you don’t have to be staying at the Hilton) if enough people stay at this hotel.
